B'nai Havurah is an inclusive, participatory Jewish Reconstructionist community that is passionately committed to experiencing Judaism by infusing tradition with renewed meaning in a contemporary American context. We do this through study, worship and joyous practice, social justice, acts of kindness, and connection with the Jewish people.
B'nai Havurah is affiliated with the Reconstructionist movement, which is committed to the renewal of American Jewish life. (For more information, see the Jewish Reconstructionist Federation Website) Reconstructionists define Judaism as an evolving religious civilization that encompasses history, literature, art, music, land, and language. Our religious tradition is the reflection of our ancestors' search for meaning, purpose, and values.
In our own search we are egalitarian, participatory, and open to a variety of perspectives and forms of religious expression. Our facility is located in Southeast Denver, one block south of the Leetsdale and Monaco intersection, on Ohio Ave. (click here for directions and map). Our Shabbat services are generally every Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. at our facility, unless there is an off site event. Please call the office or look at our calendar to check a specific date.
