2024 Annual Gifts of the Heart Renewal 

Thank you for taking a moment to renew your annual support through B'nai Havurah's 2024 Annual Gifts of the Heart Pledge.

GIFTS OF THE HEART - A DIFFERENT TYPE OF COMMUNITY SUPPORT MODEL

While we do not require a minimum level of support, we do have suggested levels that are based on our expenses and the size of our community.  Don't get us wrong- we really do need people to be generous! We just trust YOU to decide what that means for you. Gifts of the Heart financial income constitutes roughly 60% of our total operating budget.  These Gifts of the Heart are a big part of what makes us a vibrant, healthy, community. We have put together a FAQ page full of information on this different type of community support model. Click the button below to learn more. 

Gifts of the Heart FAQ & Information

SO WHAT SHOULD I PLEDGE?

Here are some guidelines of how you might think about your annual gift to B’nai Havurah: (As in the past, there will be additional opportunities to support B’nai financially throughout the year.)

• Kehillah / קהילה (Gift of the Community): $5,000-$10,000+ - Based on the average annual gift by the top tier of existing donors.
• Bayit / בית (Gift of the Home: $2,500) - Approximate result from dividing the total Gifts of the Heart budget by the total number of households. 
• Adama / אדמה (Gift of the Earth): $1,600 - Approximate result from dividing the total Gifts of the Heart budget by the total number of individual members. 

Please consider a minimum increase of your 2023 gift by 10%. Your annual gift will help us keep up with inflation, programming, and increased security and staffing needs while creating an even more welcoming community. 2024 Pledges for
Tikkun Olam and Social Justice Initiatives at B'nai Havurah
 

2024 Tikkun Olam Pledge:
 

The Tikkun Olam Committee, with your generosity, works to help alleviate hunger, homelessness, disease, ignorance, abuse, and oppression among all people. Any contribution is greatly appreciated. The historical guideline has been a minimum gift of $18 per family member over the age of 13.

 

2024 Social Justice Pledge:
 

Your donation will benefit our social justice programs and social action initiatives at B'nai Havurah. Any contribution is greatly appreciated. The historical guideline has been a minimum gift of $18 per family member over the age of 13.

Colorado Faith Communities United to End Gun Violence (CFCU):

Colorado Faith Communities United to End Gun Violence (CFCU), founded by concerned people of faith including B’nai Havurah members, is the only faith-based organization in Colorado dedicated to ending gun violence. CFCU was approved as a Positioning B'nai organization. .

 

These donations support CFCU and the work of B'nai Havurah members engaged in CFCU activities to expand the base of support for gun violence prevention within B’nai Havurah and the broader Jewish community. (www.cfcu-co.org/)

 

Coloradans for the Common Good (CCG):

Coloradans for the Common Good (CCG) is a Positioning B'nai organization. They are a broad based, non-partisan organization focused on working for social justice in Colorado. (www.cocommongood.org/)
