Session I - Laying a Foundation -- Tuesday, May 13 at 5:30 pm
Rabbi Katie and B’nai member Barbara Ellman LCSW will share examples from Jewish and clinical wisdom about various ways that family estrangement can manifest.
Session II – Dialogue - a Therapist, a Rabbi and a Community Member Discuss the Practical Aspects of
Estrangement -- Wednesday, May 21 at 5:30 pm
This session, with Rabbi Katie and members Barbara Ellman and Sally Stich, focuses on strategies and potential responses including: reconciliation, effective apologies, the nuances of forgiveness, and what to do if there is never going to be a repair.
Session III - Interactive Reflection and Integration: Thursday, June 12 at 5:30 pm
In this session, we will break into small groups to reflect together about what we have learned, what we have tried, and how we can move forward.
