Join Rabbi Steve (former B'nai Havurah Rabbi) for a discussion of his journey with about a dozen other people (including a couple of non-Jews and one Palestinian) to Israel in May of this year. They were on a program titled: Seeds of Recovery. The intention was to witness survivors of October 7, and to meet Arabs and Jews working for a new society where ALL can live in peace and security and respect. They met with Jews and Christians and Muslims, Israeli citizens mostly and some residents of the West Bank. Rabbi Steve also spent almost a week before and after the five day program visiting friends and family, Israeli Arabs and Jews, and he will share about those encounters as well. 

Note: Rabbi Steve witnessed much trauma in what people shared, and that will be a significant part of his presentation.

Rabbi Steve has done a powerful presentation several times in Denver since his return, with a focus on getting a feel of the emotional field on the ground there, which included a lot of trauma. His presentation is mostly not political. His hope is that as people develop some understanding and empathy for those who live there, they can have more grounded and valuable conversations around political solutions.
