Hebrew Study Hall: Ongoing/drop-in classes for adults at all levels of Hebrew reading

Are you an absolute beginner when it comes to reading Hebrew, or do you know how to read but are a bit rusty? Or maybe you're an accomplished reader who wants to learn some of the meanings of our prayers and songs, or even some conversational Hebrew. This 3-hour, low-pressure but focused class will help you grow in skill and confidence through a variety of modes of study: singing, games, and chevruta (partner or small group) study. Small groups and a variety of resources allow us to accommodate all levels.

Depending on your level, you might participate in the following:

• Starting to read right away while learning the alef bet
• Understanding basic blessings and the Blessing Formula
• Conquering the CH sound
• Using transliteration like a pro
• Building knowledge of Hebrew vocab, roots, and building blocks
