Jewish Disability Awareness Acceptance & Inclusion Shabbat: Living with Dementia: Let’s Talk About It.

10:00 AM - 2:00 PMB'nai West (1700 S Grant)Join us for a song filled , joyful , meaningful and educational Shabbat morning service led by Rabbi Katie and Sarah Kaplan Gould. In recognition of Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance, and Inclusion Month (JDAIM). B'nai Havurah together with the Jewish Disabilities Advisors of Jewish Family Services of Denver will hold activities related to Dementia on Shabbat February 22, the Torah portion of Mishpatim. During the morning service we will have a D'Var Torah related to the Torah portion Mishpatim shared with us by a person with Early-Stage Dementia. During our Kiddush lunch, we will have a facilitated open conversation about Dementia.
Following services, kiddush, and lunch, we'll hear more from our speakers and engage in a question-and-answer discussion. This JDAIM Shabbat provides a welcoming space for people touched by dementia, including their families, caregivers, and community.
