Shabbat Schedule at a Glance
Erev Shabbat (Friday Evening)
On the fourth Friday evening of each month (except in the summer), join us for Kabbalat Shabbat Experience–ritual, food, heartfelt singing, camaraderie, and shared community for all ages. We start at 6:30 pm with a lively, joyous participatory concert (with themes such as Kirtan, Beatles, Sephardi or Yiddish, to name just a few), followed by a potluck dinner at 7:30 pm.
During the summer months, Shabbat in the 'Hood takes over, with potluck dinners, Shabbat rituals and lively singalongs, hosted each month by a B'nai Havurah family in their backyard.
Shabbat Morning
B'nai Havurah holds Shabbat services every Saturday morning at 10:00 am some are in person, on Zoom, and hybrid.
Our Shabbat Services are a joyous space for rest, music, and connection, often with gorgeous instrumental accompaniment and a thoughtful balance of prayer, singing, readings, Torah leining and discussion.
There is always an opportunity to say the Mourner's Kaddish and a Mishebeirach Prayer for Healing and when services are in person we end with light refreshments and a chance to schmooze.
If you would like to sponsor a Saturday morning Kiddush in memory of a loved one or to celebrate a joyous occasion such as an anniversary or birthday, please contact Executive Director Becky Epstein at exec@bnaihavurah.org or 303-388-4441.
